Baby It's Cold Outside

Temperature at departure = 19° F (-7° C)

Why would we rather ride a bike than drive a car when it is 19 degrees outside?

SOme reasons why: There's no need to scrape ice off of the windshield, there's no need to warm up the car, walking into the office "under" dressed while eating an ice cream sandwich is fun, ... I'm sure there are others.

The battery never fails.
Don't freeze waiting for the heater to kick in.
(Oh! I remember now! There's a list in Adventure Cycling.)
You get to keep your heat lower because you acclimate to lower temperatures.
