I'm sure the recent heat wave is the cause of all the vertical cracks that have opened up on the Indian Creek and Tomahawk Creek trails. There are a few places where you could catch a tire and cause some damage to yourself or your bike. Be careful out there.

There were some cracks wider than that even on the south portion of Mill Creek that passes thru Olathe (that hill covered with evergreens and has the odd temple at the top). Just report this kind of stuff to the city - Olathe had someone out to stuff them with foam and seal them within days.
Olathe had even worse problems on IC near Santa Fe that they also fixed.
